THE PURSUIT OF COMPASSION STARTS NOW! 〰️
SO…it has begun! For the remainder of the year, I will set out along with you on a Pursuit of Compassion. What does that even mean? Well, it could mean many things. For me, it will be a time to reflect on ways to be more compassionate, a time to read uplifting texts that talk about compassion, a time to write, and a time to commit to being the best possible version of myself. Along the way, there will be blog posts from my friends and from people like YOU…supporters of MalaforVets. Below is how I kicked this whole thing off back in 2014…a logo and a mala. This logo was designed by Douglas Allen of Dougster Design in 2014. Doug’s website is no longer up and running, however I am still greateful for his work.
So...this is it! This is the logo for my pursuit. It combines the elements that have meaning to me. First, my interconnecting circles represent the various paths of healing we are all on. Then...the saying I end all of my yoga classes and meditations with. Finally, a picture of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokiteśvara.
