Simply put…I LOVE Christy and Sander! Without their support and dedication to the MalaforVets mission…there would be NO WARRIOR MALA…and possibly no MalaforVets. These guys not only funded the original orders of Warrior Mala beads, but they routinely send me care packages chock-full of gemstones, Tibetan pendants and other goodies that I am able to put together and sell. In a very short time the team over at American Yogi have created an amazing community of warriors. They have single-handedly cultivated what they call the Coalition of the Chilling! They are bringing warriors from Kill to Chill! For this work and their friendship…I salute them!
The team over at Mission 22 reached out to me to create their #Mission22WristMala. They are passionate about supporting Veterans who are continuing to fight battles even though they have returned home from the battlefields. It’s Board of Directors is comprised of Special Forces operators Magnus Johnson and Mike Kissel and Infantryman Brad Hubbard. Because of their personal battles with PTSD and TBI, the have made it their mission to raise awareness, enlist support and end Veteran suicide in America.
Griff is an US Army Ranger turned entrepreneur. He has supported our #22aDayChallenge and was also a speaker at Battle Tested. Combat Flip Flops mission is super cool: To create peaceful, forward-thinking opportunities for self-determined entrepreneurs affected by conflict. They have a goal of flipping the view on how wars are won: “Business not Bullets.” This place is so cool…that even have a handful of Stokespersons!
I have been following YfM since shortly after they launched their website. I guess you can say I was an early-adapter. From day one...I mean... since message one, they have been accepting, open, and super friendly. Besides being a great place for men to learn about Yoga and to talk to other like minded folk...YfM now is providing content and research for Veterans. NICE! I consider it an honor to call Mike, Jonathon, and Andy friend.
I reached out to John Contrell of MBody Clothing for the first time when I was heading up a fundraiser many years ago. I was raising money to send Vets through yoga teacher training. John didn’t hesitate to offer support. So besides being a super amazing human, his company turns out some amazing yoga shorts for men that are comfortable…and super durable. I sweat a lot and tend to beat the crap out of yoga shorts…and I still wear (and they look new) every pair I ever bought.
BTW…they now sell beard oil!
