Paying It Forward - The Art of Compassion

I remember when I read this story for the first time. It warmed me to my core. Even today, eight years later it provides a moment when I feel good about living in this world. I wish I was more like Cayden sometimes. By the way, this fundraiser officially ended Nov 28, 2016 and raised $41,559!
It’s stories like this that just make your heart melt. Cayden Taipalus is an 8-year old boy with compassion. He was sad when he found out several of his classmates could not have a hot lunch because they had negative balances on their accounts. So...he took action!
Cayden and his mom started to recycle cans and bottles and even asked friends and neighbors to help pitch in. They were able to raise $64, which paid for about 150 lunches.
That is compassion! This compassion has led to the nationwide Pay-It-Forward initiative.
That small gesture of kindness has since grown into a widespread effort. After a local radio station mentioned what Cayden had done, others expressed their desire to help, and he and his mom started an online campaign to collect donations.
Cayden's mom took to the internet and started up a FundRazr page and as if this blog...they have raised $14, 150 to pay for even more lunches.
