Kreg Weiss - Compassion Is…

To me...Kreg Weiss is the Guru of Yes! I've never met Kreg in person, yet I consider him a mentor and friend. I first reached out to Kreg about two and a half years ago. I was working with a holistic veteran yoga non-profit and I asked if he was interested in a mutually beneficial relationship. His response...YES! He worked out the detail with an online yoga company to provide free content and deep discounts for the organization. He has said YES at least a dozen more times since. _()_Namaste Chris!
My perspective on compassion:
Compassion is an emotional manifestation. The mind generates a thought which manifests into an emotion (which readily transmits into some form of physical response). How one associates or connects with a thought determines the dominant vibration of the resulting emotion. In the case of 'compassion', the person becomes disassociated with the burdensome entity of Ego and allows the harmonious Inner Self to resonate and dominate.
Compassion is exceptionally powerful as it requires vulnerability, humility, and a genuine expression of love. Some emotions are very much self-serving whereas compassion is purely about giving. Through this process of giving, there is also an experience of internalizing. Compassion dissolves the superficiality of the world and helps one pause, reflect, and digest the truths of life. In some aspects, compassion can clear the disillusion of Ego (and its' associated emotions/energies) and create clarity for the inner gaze.
With compassion, we settle into the present and stand to side as witnesses, observing this life that we are flowing in. The reality of 'life purpose' and priorities bubble to the surface inspiring us to follow a path more whole and more enlightening.
So through this process of giving, compassion beautifully serves the recipient and deliverer.
