EMILY PLAUCHE

US ARMY

Emily is a former Russian Linguist in the US Army. Nowadays, she teaches yoga full time in the Baltimore, Washington, D.C. area and collaborates with the VA Way to offer free yoga classes to Veterans and Active Duty service members. Traveling all over the world with the Army instilled in Emily a wanderlust for experiencing how other people live. She created The Om Collective to encourage friends and yoga students to travel more and open their eyes to different ways of being and the beauty that can be found in other cultures. She also leads yoga retreats for SoulJourn Yoga, a nonprofit that raises awareness and funds for girls education in developing countries.

Emily used her GI Bill to earn a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy at the Maryland University of Integrative Health and received her 500 hours of training through YogaWorks and Charm City Yoga of Baltimore.
